Raji Kalra

Raji Kalra is a business executive with a broad experience as Chief Financial & Administrative Officer. Her industry expertise includes management consulting, corporate and nonprofit. Throughout her career, she has focused on developing strategies to help organizations grow while implementing policies and procedures to mitigate risk and enhance governance.

Most recently, Ms. Kalra was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at the David Lynch Foundation. In this role, she oversaw all financial, human resources, operational, facilities, IT, and legal functions. During her tenure, Raji was instrumental in the selection and implementation of new financial accounting software, HRIS, and CRM system; all with a view to greater transparency, scalability, financial control and compliance. During this time, revenues increased 140% and staff quadrupled as the foundation’s programs expanded.

Ms. Kalra started her career in management consulting with Accenture primarily focused on mergers & acquisitions of financial institutions. This was followed by an assignment with eForce where she was responsible for client development and engagement as well as project management.

In 2005, Raji transitioned to the social impact sector. At Harlem RBI, she was responsible for establishing the infrastructure to support the creation of a new Charter School. While CFO at the Museum for African Art, she had responsibility of securing financing for a $135M capital project, which required considerable coordination and relationship development with multiple government agencies, financial institutions, and real estate developers.

Raji holds an MBA in Finance and Management from Columbia Business School and an MA in International Economic and Development Policy from John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Her undergraduate studies were completed at Columbia College, Columbia University, which focused on Economics and Political Science. Ms. Kalra is also a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional.

Ms. Kalra resides in New York City. She is Chair of the Bronx River Alliance, a member of the Finance Advisory Board of DoSomething.org, a board director of Justice For Our Neighbors, and a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council. Raji was also a founding member and on the Board of Governors of Ivy Council.
